Choosing a Scent

Choosing the right candle scent is fun yet challenging. You should see me trying to decide what new scents to create for my amazing customers and thinking up clever names. 

Hopefully, this information will help you pick the right scent and strength for your space. 

For starters, it's important to understand that Wicked Charm Candles and Wax Melts are 100% soy wax. Why does this matter? 

Many candles and wax melts contain paraffin wax (or petroleum wax), a soft colorless solid derived from petroleum, coal, or oil shale that comprises a mixture of hydrocarbon molecules. These candles tend to have a heavier scent throw.

On the other hand, soy wax candles and melts are non-toxic and contain no additives. Soy wax is naturally more subtle and provides a lighter scent throw than paraffin wax. 

So, when choosing a Wicked Charm Candle or Wax Melt, pay attention to the fragrance strength listed on the product page. 

Candles with a lighter fragrance strength are more suitable for smaller spaces, while a strong fragrance strength is best for larger areas.
